Daniele Anastasion the film I AM YUP'IK for ESPN's 30 for 30 Shorts, which premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. Her first feature, THE REDEMPTION OF GENERAL BUTT NAKED, received the Sundance award for Best Cinematography and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. Called "an extraordinarily complex odyssey" by The LA Times, it follows a Liberian warlord who attempts to reconcile with his victims.

Daniele recently directed RUN MAMA RUN for ESPN Films about an elite runner training to make the U.S. Olympic team while pregnant. It premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, was nominated for an Emmy and was selected for the US State Department's American Film Showcase.  She also directed THE PRICE OF CERTAINTY, a NY Times Op-Doc that explores why human beings hate ambiguity and crave certainty. It premiered at the 2017 AFI Docs Festival and was a Vimeo Staff Pick.
